  • Kitchen refacing is, essentially, adding a new finished exterior to your cabinets, installing matching doors, drawer fronts, and optional moldings. At kitchen Revision, we offer a selection of laminate finishes, as well as solid wood products. Kitchen Revision offers new drawers, new cabinets, and modifications to existing cabinets. We also offer beautiful stone and laminate countertop options.

  • The first step in our process is to get in touch with us here. We’ll schedule an in-home design consultation at a time that’s convenient for you.

You’ll have the opportunity to view samples, ask questions, and go over all your options. When you decide to move forward with your project, (and we hope you do!) we’ll get your new finished products on order ASAP, and do any necessary shop work in the meantime. When we have an arrival window for the products we’ve ordered, we’ll schedule your on-site work at a date that’s best for you.

We will work consecutive days until your project is complete, taking steps to contain any mess, and clean up as we go. Our goal is always to finish within one week. However, if your project includes a new stone countertop, that will most likely need to be installed the following week.

In preparation, for your project, we ask that you empty out all of your cabinets, clear off your countertops, and generally clear out the kitchen area. I hope it goes without saying that we’re willing to assist with this, but we’ve found that most customers prefer to do this themselves.

We ask that you plan to stay out of the kitchen while we’re there working, for the most part. We also ask that you plan to keep pets and children out of the work area, for everyone’s safety. We will likely have plastic sheets up, as well as coverings for appliances, furniture, etc. We clean up every day, but we will most likely have tools and materials in the kitchen overnight. You can enter your kitchen freely when we’re done for the day and use the fridge, stove, and any appliances that aren’t disconnected or otherwise unavailable.

    • Value - It’s almost always less expensive to reface your existing kitchen than to tear your cabinets out and replace them.

    • Low Impact Project - It can be very difficult to have the kitchen remodeled when you’re living in the home! Kitchen refacing is just less disruptive than replacing your cabinets. When we reface a kitchen, there’s usually no demolition, and we almost never have to take your appliances out of the room. In most cases we’re finished in 1-2 weeks…not months.

    • No need to remove countertop, sink, or dishwasher - If you’re keeping your existing countertop, or just replacing it at a later date, we can reface your kitchen without removing your existing countertop or disconnecting your existing sink or appliances. In most cases, you can enter your kitchen freely when we’re done for the day and use the appliances that are still connected.

    • Custom - Everything we do is custom made, just for you. We have a lot of options to tailor make exactly what you want, instead of asking you to accept what’s available to order.

    • Tradesman owned small business - Our owner, Skip Higbee, will be who you meet with to discuss your project. He will be the one who manages your project from start to finish. He will be there, on site, during your project, in many cases doing the work himself. Skip has refaced hundreds of kitchens himself, with great results. If you choose Kitchen Revision, you’ll be working, from start to finish, with someone who specializes in cabinetmaking and kitchen refacing, and who is fully invested in making sure your project goes well and that the end result exceeds your expectations.

    • Quality - At Kitchen revision, we only use quality products. From finished products, functional hardware, and building materials. We’re past the trial and error phase. We know what works, and what stands the test of time, and that’s what we use.

    • Craftsmanship - Its of first importance to us that our quality of work is the absolute best in appearance, functionality, and durability. In kitchen refacing, the #1 most important thing is to have a highly skilled craftsman doing the work. Our owner has been blessed to have a long career in refacing. He’s implemented a high standard for quality, and all the work done by Kitchen Revision has to measure up to that standard.

    • Custom - All of our kitchens are completely custom. Please don’t let the words “custom cabinets” scare you off! Although our products are ordered or built just for you, we still have some very budget friendly options! What “custom” means is that we have a lot of options for you. You don’t have to settle for what’s available. Let us give you what you want!

    • Reliability - When we start a project at your home, we’re scheduled to be working on that project every day until it’s finished. We WILL NOT start work on your kitchen and disappear for days or weeks. We understand the importance of getting your project 100% complete and giving you your kitchen back as soon as we can.

    • We’re professional Guests - You can’t teach this. You learn it over time. At Kitchen Revision, we’re usually not working on a vacant home that’s under construction. We’re almost always working in a home where people are living their lives. Offering a white gloves approach to working in someone’s home is a skill in and of itself, and I think we have that skill mastered.

  • Yes! We make custom laminate (formica) countertops and backsplashes ourselves. It’s an economical option, and with modern color and finish options, our laminate countertops are a great choice for a beautiful countertop on a budget.

If you want a natural stone countertop as part of a kitchen reface or new cabinet install, we work with a first rate fabricator. We work together to make sure that once your cabinet work is complete, the countertop installers are hot on our heels, installing your countertop the following week.

If you just want a stone countertop, we will gladly refer you to our fabricator. (cut out the middle man :)

  • Yes! We offer custom built cabinets, made from high quality material. We offer pre-finished options, as well as unfinished exterior cabinets, refaced onsite, offering a seamless look. We also, more commonly, offer new cabinets as part of a reface. We can “graft in” new cabinets to your existing, refacing over them seamlessly.

While, we’re not a “stock cabinet” retailer, we do offer layout/design and installation services for new factory made cabinets. We’re available to help you order what you need for your kitchen, and are fully equipped to make sure it’s installed beautifully.

  • At Kitchen Revision, we’re kitchen specialists. However, we’re excellent finished carpenters, and we’re often willing do other work for our customers’ convenience, since we’re already there doing your kitchen!
